In April 2015 Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi donates to MAMbo, the Museum of Modern Art in Bologna, the painting "Il Ceppo", an oil on canvas dated 1966, particularly significant in the evolution of Pinto’s. http://www.mambo-bologna.org/mostre/mostra-174/ On the occasion of this special exhibition, the Museum of Modern Art in Bologna dedicates a focus to it within the Permanent Collection in the presence of Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi, by Gianfranco maraniello - respectively President and Director of the Institution Bologna Musei– and of the Magnificent Rector of the University of Bologna, Ivano Dionigi.
In October 2016 Bruno Pinto goes back, after years, to 'La Valle', the place where he realized that his life would be dedicated to painting, and where he later created "Il Ceppo". It is on this occasion that Roberto Cerè shoot the docufilm “Ascoltare il silenzio, tracce di Bruno Pinto”, produced by Mille Colline, in which Bruno recalls the life choices made in that period and recalls his relationship with painting. https://youtu.be/4cuXRFZjZsM
Another significant meeting took place in Florence, in March 2018, with Giacomo Ragghianti, son of the critic and art historian Carlo Ludovico, who organized in the 1970s the first important personal exhibitions.
In these years, Pinto keeps on working: “Gianna, when I look at the sky, the fields, the trees, I perceive them as it never happened to me, they give me great hope, even in certain moments that I look at you, a hope is born in me, an unjustifiable but real joy that had never happened to me, a great embrace. [...]The difficulties we face I believe that regenerate our lives, even in work I feel that there are conditions for it to grow, we must both support ourselves with great hope."
At the same time, the Cultural Association which supported by the partners and collaborators including the critic Valerio Dehò https://youtu.be/3RiwDo_Y2f0 and the collector Fabio Sgarzi, is committed to promoting, preserving and protecting all his artistic work https://youtu.be/KSJHQYqFZfk. The Association is committed to the archive works and historical material, publications related to exhibitions, events and press reviews, photographic material and letters. It ensures the preservation of this material and make it available for consultation at its premises for study purposes. It collaborates in the realization of exhibitions, catalogues and other cultural initiatives. The archiving is finalized to the writing of the General Catalogue as a tool of documentary, philological and historical reconstruction of the artist’s work.
On November the 24th, in the afternoon, Bruno Pinto suddenly dies in Sasso Marconi, during one of his beloved walks in the company of his wife Gianna. The Mass is celebrated on the 29th of November at Chiesanuova in Bologna, by his beloved friend and priest Giandomenico Cova, who, enhanced by an authentic knowledge, given by the long, frequent and profound conversations with Bruno, pronounce his farewells by dedicating him the readings of the prophet Jeremiah 17:7-10 and the Gospel of John 12:20-28.
In the last years of his life, Bruno leaves traces of his thoughts in an agenda he shared with his wife; in the last pages it is written: "Let us hope every morning that the loving spirit governs our day. Let’s pray: that work may be a prayer." Bruno Pinto
