curated by the Fondazione Rocca dei Bentivoglio. In collaboration with the Municipality of Valsamoggia.
The photographic selection featured in this exhibition is part of a selection extracted from the photos published
in the 4 volumes dedicated to the 4 seasons in Valsamoggia, through the lens of Roberto Cerè,
to which a “pictorial” guest is added, namely a work by Bruno Pinto.

The opening event is curated by the sculptor Paolo Gualandi
The collection includes Bolognese artists from the late 20th century, and in this 2023 edition, new acquisitions will be presented, including a drawing by Bruno Pinto.

“This piece arrives today, during these very days when the memory of Bruno has accompanied me as I met the children of this other Mediterranean island, Enna.
It was difficult to write. It does not speak of workshops, techniques, celebrations, or experiences.
Instead, it tells of how deep I discovered the traces left on me by that man whom my childhood eyes saw as similar to the Devil.”

Friday, April 24, 2015 | 6:00 PM there will be an meeting with the artist in the presence of Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi and Gianfranco Maraniello — respectively President and Director of the Istituzione Bologna Musei — and the Rector of the University of Bologna, Ivano Dionigi.
On the occasion of this special exhibition event, Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi will donate the painting “il ceppo” to MAMbo, an oil on canvas from 1966, which is particularly significant in the evolution of Pinto’s research.
